Album Notes

The excitement and energy generated by Tiny Barge and his band, The Big Chill leaves dancers exhilarated by the end of the band’s show. Rooted in the soulful ‘60s and driven by a blistering horn section, Tiny Barge and The Big Chill plays a variety of R&B, rock, and blues with James Brown-style antics. Singer/songwriter Tiny Barge formed the Big Chill in 1986 as a band that played great soul classics. He wanted a group that could dance and sing like the Temptations while they played together like the Stax-Volt rhythm section. The new band took its name from The Big Chill--a popular movie that featured a sound track of classic soul hits. With Tiny as leader and featured vocalist, his tried and true song list, professional standards, and the band's steadfast reputation, The Big Chill has headlined and shared stages with many of the great names of rock, soul, and country music. Seasoned veterans of everything from concerts and festivals, to night clubs and casinos, to private and corporate events, Tiny Barge and The Big Chill remain everybody’s first choice for listening and dancing. “Let the good times roll!”
Tiny Barge's songwriting credits included, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Les McCann, Maxine Nightingale, Creme D Cocoa, Sandra Feva and The Fabulous Hubcaps.
