Album Notes

Kaua`i-born Titus Kinimaka is a professional surfer, stuntman and adventurer. He has been sponsored by Quiksilver Since 1981 and has traveled the globe as their ambassador. In 2005, at age 51, Titus placed 8th in Eddie Aikau Waimea Surf event, in what were arguably the biggest waves the contest has ever had. In 2000, Titus founded the Hawaiian School of Surfing on Kaua`i and has built it into one of the most prolific schools in the Islands with over 6000 lessons taught in the last 12 months alone. From beginner to Extreme riders, their unique style of teaching was developed by Titus during his four and half decades as a waterman.

Titus is a Hawaiian man, a resident of Kaua`i, and has been a musician and a waterman nearly his whole life. Full Circle shares his passions. Titus's music conveys strong rhythm grooves influenced by rock performers such as Marvin Gaye, Joe Cocker, Creedence Clearwater, and Huey Lewis & the News. As a Hawaiian, Titus has written successful Hawaiian music classics such as "Nani O Kaua`i," performed by Hawaiian musicians throughout the state. However, this album keeps true to rock/pop roots, but with a jazzy upbeat island feel characteristic of Titus's musical style.

I like this album because it has a lot of range, and you can really hear all the vocals and instruments. Each song has a different and expressive vibe. It's a great listening CD.
