Album Notes

Having one of the greatest Soul singers of all time as a father can be a blessing or a curse. If you’ve inherited that special talent of the late Johnnie Taylor then it’s easily a blessing! Here comes the son on this extremely well-produced album by TJ Hooker-Taylor. All original Soul & R & B songs that will appeal to Urban Contemporary and Soul/Blues fans alike.

Hooker-Taylor shines on the anthemic ballads “The Greatest Song I Ever Sang”, “You Can Love Anything But Being In Love Is Different” and the sure-to-be universal paean to mothers called “MOMA”.

Then he brings the R & B/Dance jams on the slick “Got To Get My Money Right” (already a club hit), “Them Jeans” and “You Can Call me TJ”.

Meanwhile the first single, “Your Babies Need A Daddy” wraps a romantic, socially conscious message in an irresistible melody!

This will be a star-making effort by the label and heir-apparent Mr. TJ Hooker-Taylor
