Album Notes

The Kingdom Flying Club was formed in January 2002 in Columbia, Missouri. This year we've been listed on KCOU's(MU radio) top 10 charts and Jason Kafer's "best of 2002" for our debut album. We play an eclectic mix of original songs near the indie-pop vein and the occasional carefully chosen cover. So far we've done all of our recording and CD production at home and we like it. LIYL: Guided by Voices, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, and Pavement (maybe a little E.L.O. and sometimes Gram Parsons).

"Everyone wants to be proud of their city's local music scene. So, when a band such as the Kingdom Flying Club unveils themselves to Columbia, we become excited and unfortunately loose all ability to think rationally."

This CD was better than I anticipated. I heard one song on THE OC, and loved it. Come to find out, the whole CD is awesome. Everyone should listen. It is really great stuff!
