Album Notes

When The Katie Sullivan Band was formed, the effect on the Chicago scene was intoxicatingly energetic, to say the least. Well known as an Irish pub-style folk rock band, the KSB developed their unique Celtic Rock style with their jam-band folk-rock instrumentals to create a genre-less new musical passion: FOLKADELIA!
Katie's vocal style is passionate and entertaining, and inspired by Janis Joplin, Susan Tedeschi, and Bonnie Raitt. The band joined forces with Grammy- winning producer Michael Freeman to create a sound for this jam band who could not choose between Irish pub music, and psychedelic grooves.
The band and the concept grew, and the KSB experience continues to create a musical experience colorful, rootsy, and full of drive. Katie and the boys now play to sold out rooms in the Midwest.

THE KATIE SULLIVAN BAND HAS HIT THE BIG TIME!!
author: Andy Marakino
Chicago-based THE KATIE SULLIVAN BAND has a gem with their newly released album MELTING POT. Tracks include Dylan-esque tunes with a combination of passionate vocals, and wild energetic instrumentation. Katie's vocals on this album are comparable to Susan Tedeschi and Janis Joplin in their prime. Her version of "The Town I Love So Well" is endearing and perfect. Jam band fans, psychedelic fans, Irish music fans- who can lose here? Get this album and you will see why The KSB is opening up for major acts like Gaelic Storm, Melvin Seals, The Jerry Garcia Band, Pure Prairie League, and others. I truly loved it, and will play it on my Saturday morning radio show as often as possible. WDCO-Boston Andy Marakino

THE KATIE SULLIVAN BAND'S "MELTING POT" - A MUST HAVE ALBUM
author: Midwest Entertainer
Simply fantastic. The KSB helps to blend the difference between several music styles combining folk, jam, rock-abilly, and Celtic influences with a great song selection, all led by Katie's driving vocals. Male vocalist Mike Brown contributes a version of Walking In Memphis that is simple but full of vigor and passion. Great album!
