Album Notes

now the story can be told! in 1999 and 2000, weasel walter, misty martinez, rat bastard and nandor nevai toured with savant noisemeister tom smith under the feared To Live and Shave in L.A. moniker. this foursome decided to split off from the father group, culminating in a rogue cadre called To Live and Shave in L.A. 2. Shave 2 was prepared to further the FREE GLAM aesthetic they had synthesized. This CD presents the complete studio recordings of the Shave 2 including a remastered version of their debut CD-R "Kill Misty: Threnody/300 Dollar Silk Shirt" plus a never before heard full-length studio album recorded in 2000.

The music is inexplicable - a melange of electric improvisation mutated beyond comprehension with extreme production techniques topped with evocatively cryptic lyrics delivered in a myriad of tongues by the entire group. this is some kind of darkly psychedelic no wave/noise/free jazz fusion that only true surrealists could have concocted. fans of wolf eyes beware - on the '99 shave tour, this was the line up that scared aaron dilloway out of the room with its intensity!!!

18 tracks in DMT rainbow fidelity with 8 page booklet featuring color photos and extensive liner notes by weasel walter and abraham boulez. limited to 500 copies!
