Moving, Sensual, Breath-taking, Evocative, Pure Sensory Overload
Ms. Shaw's poetry moves you at the most basic levels. She reaches into your soul and spirit and finds the rhythm of life with her words and her intonations. Her poetry is very visual and moving, very sensual. I find myself caught up in the rhythms and opening myself to the words. I'm looking for more.

Grand Prize Winner of the 2002 First Literary Recording Contest for Manzanita Quarterly and AUTHENTIC VOICEwork Records, Ms. Shaw is a master wordsmith, working in the vivid colors of cultural introspection, social reflection and profound insight. Addressing issues and undercurrents that specifically apply to women, from their challenges to their gifts and universal abundance of life force, Shaw spins sparkling webs of thought and emotion into poems so full of life and sensory richness that you can taste, smell and touch them. An exquisite spoken word album, tastefully punctuated by music.

Beyond inspiring
I heard Tamara speak at the First Existentialist Congregation in Atlanta. She blew us away with "Genesis 2000 won." And this woman loves words. She taught me the definition of "goddess," and "prodigal."

Her perspective is so sane, so thoughtful, and so well stated that we left both enlightened about some nasty issues of injustice -- and feeling that we could look at it and work towards fighting it as a labor of love that will contribute to framing the issues for the world that emerges as we cast off the sorry state of our inequitable societies and made a better one for our decscdents for the next few thousand years.

Heady stuff!

Very good
Spirit moving quality about poetry set to music. Relaxing and soothing. Shared with family and friends

The most soothing sounds that I have heard in a while...
Shaw’s style reminds me of a combination of classic Blues, Gospel, and Jazz music seasoned with a bit of today’s Neo-Soul, but in poetry form. Her words are clearly spoken, with excellent emphasis, painting a canvas for the imagination unlike any other poet that I have heard.
