Album Notes

The Toasted Hippies consists of cosmic guitarist/bassist Randy and free spirit drummer Mickey. The husband and wife team has been paying its dues in the central Michigan area for some time now. Besides rock, the band is well versed in country and standards. These influences plus a dose of folksy 60's psychedelia are the basic musical blend of the band's sound.

The selections are rendered with rhythmic ease due mostly to the straight ahead and confident drumming of Mickey. Mickey is also a gifted singer with a warm voice and she shows it on Hey Harley Boy.

Randy is a unique song stylist and has a sound all of his own. The guitar licks are quicksilver. Randy is uniquely suited to sing the wry and resigned Toasted Hippy.

The songs have two distinct themes: having fun and facing adversity with sense of humor.
