Todd Almond is a New York based song writer and composer. DEEP NORTH WOODS is a collaborative effort with Ruby Vileos guitarist Bill Alletzhauser and Afghan Whigs founding members John Curley and Michael Horrigan. The songs are both full and intimate--Almond likes to live in the world between the theatrical and the minimal. Todd is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after song writers in New York's music and theater scene. The Village Voice says, "A talented man with voice and pen."

First heard Todd do Moon Over Nebraska live. LOVED IT AND HIM! Bought CD. Actually disappointed upon first hearing. Song didn't even sound the same, nor his voice. BUT ... have listened several more times to whole CD and am really getting into it. TODD'S VOICE IS FANTASTIC!

Strong songwriting
author: Sean Michael Flowers
To listen to Todd is to listen to an inspired writer who is seemingly fearless. Variety abound, this CD is beautiful and complicated - a world Todd inhabits well.
To list highlights would be a song-by-song breakdown.
Todd knows what he's doing - a solid songwriter and a great vocalist.

Excellent CD from an Awesome Singer!!!
author: David McAfee
Todd Almond has done a fantastic job with this album. The songs are great starting with the powerful opener Neckolais. To the heart-wrenching ballad Moon Over Nebraska. Todd's voice has a theatrical sound to it, and I love the dimension it has added to his deeply moving lyrics. The emotional Can I call you, Jesus?, and the angry (yet sypathetic) Frankie are another two of my favorites on an all around amazing CD by a very talented artist.
