Album Notes
Classic Rock/Southern Rock Singer, Guitarist, Founder of Todd Foley and Black Horse.
Partner: Black Horse Entertainment, LLC

Originally from High Point, NC. Began playing guitar in 1974, forming my first band at the age of 13 years old.I have actively been involved in various levels and capacities in the music industry for 37 years.

My goal is to introduce my brand of classic rock and southern rock and roll, and build my fan base not only with individuals from that era, but to a younger audience as well. It has been my experience in Nashville, both studio recording sessions, live performances, and in working with engineers, producers and musicians involved with this project, that my music is unique and has it's niche. Therefore, my intention to bring to my fans and audiences a great blend of classic rock and southern rock and roll!

I would like to personally thank everyone for your support of Todd Foley and Black Horse!

Early Guitar Influences: Les Paul, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Duane Allman, Allen Collins (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Keith Richards, Rory Gallagher, Joe Perry, Ace Frehley & Ted Nugent.

Early Musical Influences: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd (entire southern rock movement, '70s), Aerosmith, Kiss, Foghat, Bad Company, Nantucket, Ted Nugent & many more classic rock acts.

Vocal Influences: David Ruffin ( The Temptations), Sammy Hagar, Rick Medlocke (Blackfoot / Lynyrd Skynyrd), Ronny Van Zant, Johnny Van Zant, Don Barnes (38 Special), Mark Farner & Don Brewer (Grand Funk).

Formed "Papa Doc" in 1979. In 1981, we signed with John Denny and his independent label, Jed Records, (Nashville TN). We achieved regional success in the southeastern US. Our recorded single, which featured two original songs, received national attention. "Sweet Rockin' Baby" was featured on American Bandstand, while "Get A Hold On Love" appeared in Billboard Magazine.

In 1982 Papa Doc dissolved. I, along with other individuals formed Dillinger. We eventually signed with Dan Russo and CMC Productions (Raleight NC). Began touring, in addition to opening for regional acts such as Nantucket, Doc Holliday, Mothers Finest, The Atrimus Pyle Band, & George Hatcher.

In 1983, Dillinger signed with Mike Uzzell (Nantucket fame), and his agency, Showtime Entertainment (Raleigh, NC). Began several productive years of solid touring, and opening for for Nantucket, Doc Holliday and Head East.

I resigned from Dillinger in 1984, and pursued a long and prosperous sales career in the North Carolina Furniture industry. However, I have always been involved at some level in the music industry. Eventually, this would lead to my living in West Hollywood, California, which afforded me the opportunity to experience the "LA" music scene.

In 2011, while living in Austin, TX, and given their live music scene, and the fact that it is the "Live Music Capitol" of the world, I decided to follow my true and entertainment. I relocated to NC for a spell, and with the encouragement of a very dear friend and relative, decided to move to Nashville!

Upon arriving in June 2012, I signed a 9 song cd contract with Red Ridge Entertainment, immediately began studio sessions. Since that time, I have had the pleasure of working and playing with some of the finest musicians, engineers, producers, and studios (CTM, County Q & The Sound Office) in the Nashville!

In 2013, I completed sessions, mixing and mastering of Todd Foley and Black Horse, "Uprising". I would like to thank each and every one of my current and future rock and roll sisters and brothers for your support regarding this poject.

A special thanks to my NC team, Black Horse Ent., LLC & Irma Sohnchen for your encouragement and dedication!
