Album Notes
Toddx is an MC from Toledo, Ohio. He has been involved in Hip-Hop music for over ten years as an artist, producer, writer, and engineer. He has released several albums, written countless songs, and played many live shows throughout the Mid-West.

While living in New York City Toddx recorded at The Hit Factory with a few different producers. Unsatisfied with the finished product he decided to save his money, move back home, and begin working on his own.

Strengthening his resolve he began to devote all his time to honing his craft not only as an MC, but also as a songwriter and producer. In 2006 he began work on “The Toddx Files” which wasn't released. In 2007 he broke ground on "The Drug Years."

“I wanted to make a artistic album. An album nobody has ever heard before. I’m Hip Hop’s biggest fan, but to me it’s kind of stale right now. I wanted to make a modern album and bring the good lyrics back. I also wanted to lace it with some 70’s rock music. The live instrumentation hits the spot for me. However, I knew that right amount of synths and samples needed to be there to balance the live instrumentation. I knew it could backfire if I wasn’t careful, but I think I found the right blend to make it work. Overall, the album is a great experience. It has its highs and lows. It’s fun and smart. It feels real dark, but the sun comes out. It’s my life in a package.”
