Album Notes

Todd Zombie came from humble beginnings. As a member of a musical family, young Todd was in constant presence of greatness. His early obsessions with comic books, horror movies and heavy metal music would later form his sound, which continues to shock and amaze audiences.

Zombie was a member of the underground sensation Georgia Home Boy in the late 90's. Alongside NNMaddox, Reverend Ezell Jenkins and the late Jimmy Haig, the quartet released five studio albums in various genres, gaining a unique following that continues to support the members solo projects.

With In Todd We Trust, Zombie brings to the table a gothic masterpiece that leaves his peers in the dust. Rock music has never sounded quite like this. Shakespearean references, beautiful piano riffs, church bells and Todd's powerful delivery cement this album alongside nine inch nails' Pretty Hate Machine, Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar, and Nirvana's Nevermind as one of the greatest rock n' roll albums in musical history.

In Todd We Trust leaves the listener with sixteen bruising tracks produced by the legendary NNMaddox. Former GHB bandmate Reverend Jenkins appears on "Get Thee Behind Me Satan," a traditional song first released on Maddox's 14mercy label by experimental artist Erin Smogor.

A trilogy of Julius Caesar-inspired songs in "Aces And Eights," and "Beware The Ides Of March Part I and II" re-enact the gory murder of the famous dictator. Zombie's take on pop culture is showcased on fiery tracks "Edward Scissorhands" and "Laguna Beach."

When the final number "Scoliosis" is over, Zombie has figuratively run over your pretty face with a lawnmower. You're left wondering if reconstructive surgery will do anything to repair the damage. The news is grim, though. You're forever soiled by the wretchedness that is Todd Zombie. Learn to love it, fuckers.

In addition to these 16 amazing (and remastered!) tracks, NNMaddox and 14mercy have tacked on four additional ones for the deluxe edition. Two re-recorded tracks from Todd Don't Like Ugly, "The Soft Machine" and "My Sweet Elena" as well a new song entitled "PJ Harvey." The highlight of the deluxe edition though, is Zombie's cover of "Leave (Get Out)" originally recorded by teen pop star Jojo. Be sure to check out Todd's unique take on a song that was a mainstream hit, introducing it to a goth/metal audience that are more than likely unfamilar with the original recording.
