Punk American style. It seems that it has never died. Tokyo Decadence provide us with a fine example of the style. There are only 5 tracks but they all punch their way out of the speakers. Loud and brash, the band strut their stuff with bravado. Particular credit is due to the powerhouse drumming that keeps the feet moving and the heart pounding. "Wake Up, Nosferatu" (it actually has a sing-along chorus) and "ICan't Die without You" indicate the lyrical focus is on the darker side of life. Nothing wrong with that of course and the performances have attitude aplenty. It is safe to say that these guys only come to life after dark. This CD is like The Network but more awesome. And your band doesn't even have all three members of Green Day in it. The musical composition, lyrics, and melodies make this album better than any I've heard in a while. And I'm not writing this because I know Felix. Awesome album!! Read more...
