Album Notes

TOKYO TRAMPS is a Boston-based Japanese trio. Their style can’t be fit in one category. All grew up with American music, their songs are mixture of blues, country, rock, folk, pop, and everything. That’s why this album is a GUMBO, flavorful stew originating in Louisiana with a variety of elements - chicken, shrimp, okra, andouille sausage, onion, pepper, celery, and more.
All songs are based on their real life experience - some sweet, some bitter. One thing for sure is they are always positive. Never give up, never give in. Full of hope, full of love.
“Giant Step,” “Big Time Blues,” “This Bird Must Fly,” are about hope - we are struggling right now, but we will make it, we will be successful, we will fly high. “Since I Got You,” “Til The End Of Time,” “Baby Please Come Home” are about love and marriage. “Owner Of Heart And Soul,” “Love Power” are encouragement to everyone as well as to themselves. “Lonesome In My Hometown” is real experience after a long absence from home. We all need “Johnny Guitar” when we feel weak. And.... “Chicken Teriyaki” - it’s a song about food, well, as Japanese people, they can say that Japanese food is great, can’t they?
