Keyboardist/Composer Tom Alexander's "Flying Against the Time Zones" is a musical trip around the globe, literally.
Depart from America's west coast and circle the world stopping off to catch a glimpse of some far off melody or rhythm from Africa, Asia, Europe or the Americas - then settle in for some awe-inspiring fusion jazz jams.
Tom plays in a variety of contexts and settings from solo piano ballads and haunting duos to full-on burning fusion ensemble playing and orchestral sojourns. Featuring drummer Tommy G. Lee, guitarists Audric Jankauskas and Len Perry, bassist Leo Brooks, sax player Jamie Roth and a host of guest musicians, "Flying Against the Time Zones" pays homage to musical heroes Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, Pat Metheny, and Herbie Hancock.

Each song is stylistically different, yet the end result is a cohesive blending of all its parts. And in these fast-paced times and current economic slump, how else can you travel around the world in an hour for less than $15?
