Lost Songs and Underdogs

by Tom Goss

Tom's most intimate album. Direct and honest. The product of a one-room cabin in rural Virginia with no internet or phone—only a computer, keyboard, guitars and a handful of mics to keep me company.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I’ve wanted to make this album since 2008, but I never believed I had it in me. Finally, in hopes of failing and moving on, I holed myself into a one-room cabin in rural Virginia with no internet or phone—only my computer, keyboard, guitars and a handful of mics to keep me company. Three days later I emerged, a different musician and a stronger person. Every note on this album was touched by me. I could not be prouder.

Special thanks to:

Fitz (citizenfitz.com), for letting me hide in his cabin and make this. I will always owe you a debt of gratitude.

Joey Salinas (joey-salinas.com), for the unexpected and inspiring pep talk minutes before I arrived at the cabin. You believed in me more than I believed in myself. You are a true friend.

Jared Keith Lee (jackalopecreative.com), in addition to your design brilliance your honesty and integrity pushed me make this project better than I could have imagined. You really are the coolest person I know.

Mary Shapiro (maryshapiromusic.com), as I put together this album I realized that you had been by my side through almost all of this. Your kindness and grace continue to surprise and inspire me. You’d think I’d be used to it, but beauty like yours is rare and elusive.

Maureen Nelson (echoechoarmada.com), for saving the chorus of Is This My Fault?

My Family, for always being there and for making me the man I am today.

And, of course, to my husband Mike. You are the love of my life. Nothing else much matters.
