Two new tracks. Rock-solid sonic swagger. Surging guitar riffs. Soaring vocals. Choruses that stick in your head like glue. The louder you play it, the better it sounds. Two songs you've always known but suddenly hear for the first time. Crank it up!

Tom Hauck began his music career as a founding member of the Atlantics, one of Boston’s seminal punk/pop bands in the late 1970s. Following their appearances with the Ramones at The Club in Cambridge in May 1976, The Atlantics built up a following in Boston and New York, playing at CBGB and Max’s Kansas City, and were signed to ABC Records in 1978. The following year their album “Big City Rock” was released, and then in 1980 the band recorded Tom’s song “Lonelyhearts,” which rocketed to the top of the New England radio charts. In 1983 Tom and Bruce Wilkinson formed the dance/synth group Ball and Pivot, which scored the MTV and V-66 smash hit “Down.” In 1988 Tom founded the Spanish-language rock group TDCO with singer and film director Luis Aira. Tom left the music business in 1990 and devoted his time to his family. In 2004 he spearheaded the digital re-release of the Atlantics and Ball and Pivot catalogues, and began playing solo gigs around his home town of Gloucester, including an appearance at the Rockport Acoustic Music Festival. In 2010 Tom appeared with ex-Atlantics guitarist Fred Pineau and the Big City Rockers at the House of Blues in Boston, where they played a set of Atlantic songs. “Media Madness” and “She’s Bad,” two tracks from Tom’s upcoming solo CD, were recorded at Bang a Song Studios in Gloucester. Tony Goddess co-produced and played bass, while John Lynch of the Neighborhoods played drums. In the fall of 2011, the full-length CD entitled “Racket Factory” will be released on Olex Music.

She’s Bad
Words and music by Tom Hauck
c 2011 OLEX Music
She gets up
When the sun goes down
And all the men
Sniff around like hounds
Chorus
You can’t stop her she goes anywhere
She’s climbing to her castle in the air
We go out and everybody stops and stares
She’s bad so bad she’s bad and I don’t care
She’s a lover
And a fighter to the end
She’ll tell you lies lies lies
And say it was pretend
Yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeah - yeah yeah yeah
Diamond rings don’t mean a thing
Limousines just aren’t her scene
What she wants she gets for free
C’mon let’s shake this money tree
She was born
In a raging hurricane
She will die
Without a penny to her name
Coda
She’s gonna fly, fly fly, fly so high

I hear mothers’ children
Shouting in the streets
Heavy metal rising
In the summer heat
It’s media madness
it’s a midnight freak show
It’s big bomb badness
and the sound is gonna
Blow me away
Blow me away yeah
Bad news comin from my
TV every day
Politics and murder
What you gonna say?
Too much information
I don’t even care
Every channel’s static
Burning up the air
Media madness
Midnight freak show
