Album Notes

The debut album from this Texas-born Seattleite, Tomlinson released Run This Way Forever on his own Desert Rain label in 1985 and sold 15,000 copies in the Seattle area within the first few months. Piecing together regional distribution and a sparse constellation of radio stations that following year, he sold over 100,000 units of his first release.

Tomlinson is a songwriter's songwriter whose lyrics stand alone as poetry - and whose striking melodies soar on a voice that roams effortlessly from jazz to pop to folk and heart-piercing ballads.

In the twenty years since his first release he has produced nine more albums filled with his own melodic, meaningful songs, playing theaters and clubs, churches and cummunity halls from coast to coast.

Michael resides in Seattle and writes a humorous and widely-read monthly "rambling" on his friendly website at www.michaeltomlinson.com
