Album Notes

Tom Mac's solo debut album paints a copious landscape of sounds packed with some of the most influential musicians around including Stanley Jordan, a three-time Grammy nominee and Paul Wertico, a seven-time Grammy Award winning drummer. Tom Mac has won an international award in the Pacific Songwriting Competition in the “Instrumental” category. The competition is held annually and is based out of New Zealand but is open to anyone in the world. The Pacific Songwriting Competition’s mission is “To build a songwriting competition which supports and encourages songwriters of all nationalities, abilities, and genres.” Tom Mac has been on stage with Kenny Rogers, opened for the Beach Boys, and has sung at Carnegie Hall. His music could be considered “Jazzed-Up Folk Music with a Latin Flair.” He currently has two albums out: The Tom Mac Group’s – “One to Three Hundred” a live performance recorded at Charlottes Web with Paul Wertico of the Pat Metheny Group and the more recent CD entitled “Upper Palette” a studio album including original works and standards with guest musicians Roscoe Beck (of the Dixie Chicks), Paul Wertico, and guitarist Stanley Jordan.
