I'm a blues musician first and foremost, although I write and create music in many genres. And here I give you also some examples
of my poetry which I have set to my own background music.
Creating the finished product of spoken word is a world away from creating a song; at least to me it is. When I write the poem -
and I write poetry all the time! - I hear the music that it needs to convey it out to the world, so that the notes you hear behind
my voice will be part of portraying the words to you, to reach you and draw you into the pictures in my head.
