In Chronicles 6:31- David did much to bring music into worship. He established songs leaders and choirs to perform regularly at the temple. AS a young man, David was hired to play the harp for King Soul. He also wrote many of the songs found in the book of Psalms.

Tommie Byrd Jr. is much like David in that he brings his unique brand of music to worship around the world. He is CEO, of Byrd enterprises Ministries and a gifted musician. Born in Detroit Michigan, one of eight siblings he is proficient in piano, but the violin is his instrument of choice.

Tommie comes from a musical family, His paternal great-grandfather Ben Byrd, played the fiddle in the Australia Island Louisiana. His maternal great-grandfather Primos Adam, played fiddle in parts of Mississippi. He and his brother Carlton grew up composing and playing musical scores as teenagers. They worked together in a bans prior to his brother's death.

His love of music has been his primary driver and sustainer during many difficult episodes of his life. He has developed his own label "Angel Flight Records" and maintains artist control of content. He has written published two books, and does cwork as a screenwriter and video producer.

Tommie currently resides in Austin, TX. Quoted in a article in the North County Times, Tommie says "I really love music, it's one of the greatest parts of my life. I want to tell everyone that it really is time for healing and time for peace. Ultimately, I want my music to comfort trouble hearts and minds"
