Album Notes

"...breathtaking performance...great vibe...he's got that rare sound that seems to have faded in today's pop-driven world...masterful lyrics...Anton's vocals sparkle throughout..."
-Kristen Pasculli, DiscoveringArtists.com

"...simple but stirring acoustic guitar riffs...self-revealing sweet and tender toned vocals..."
-Al Muzer, East Coast Rocker

"[The songs] have a 'classic' vibe to them as if the melodies were passed down or born in your subconscious. Blending folk music with rock and roll and New Age like lyrics, his songs are immediately catchy."
-Gary Wien, AsburyMusic.com

"You'll want to drink up Anton's songs, particularly the uplifting harmonics of 'Hollow Bamboo', which turns eternal flow into soul candy. It can be listened to over and over again like a 'Hey Jude' for the 21st century."
-Bob Makin, Gannett New Jersey

Tommy Anton can't remember a time when he wasn't banging on something. He started early in life with cardboard boxes, pots and pans, and wooden spoons. By the time he was five, he knew he wanted to be a musician. For his ninth birthday, he asked for a drum kit, but his dad feared Tommy's dedication, knowing that there would be no peace in the house. So, instead, Tommy got a guitar for his birthday, and thus began his life-long pull between guitar and drums.

Once out of his parents' house, Tommy finally bought his first drum kit and soon became one of the hottest drummers in Austin, Texas. Later, Tommy began singing at drum circles and noticed folks had an immediate and powerful response to his voice. His desire to deliver a message of self-transformation and conscious evolution brought him back to his guitar and led him along the singer/songwriter path where he finds himself today. Now, Tommy's voice is truly his most powerful instrument, strong enough to carry the message of love and compassion that comes from deep within his heart.

Currently based in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Tommy has lived the life of a musical nomad for the past nine years. Performing his modern folk-pop songs on the coffee house, festival and theater circuit, Tommy has toured from Maui to Amsterdam, New York City to Big Sur. His self-titled, four-song EP is currently receiving airplay across the country. The CD features guest musicians Leigh Foxx (Blondie, Patti Smith, Cyndi Lauper) on bass, and Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, XTC, Mr. Mister) on drums. Recently seen onstage jamming with The Zen Tricksters, Shannon McNally, Krishna Das and Arthur Brown, Tommy is believed to hold the record for playing with the most bands in one night at the world famous Stone Pony.

Few frills accentuate Tommy's natural talent
author: Paige Glotzer
Both mellow and energetic, Anton's music is simple, raw, and wonderfully "shines through." After seeing him perform in Red Bank, NJ, I'm glad to have persued his music further. Highly underrated.
