Album Notes

As a teenager I joined the Army and toured the United States in the All Army Rolling Along touring show. This was the start of a lifetime in show business. A few years later I took my own variety show to Asia during the Vietnam War, and toured Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Okinawa and all over the Far East. Returning the United States, I joined up with Slappy White and Redd Foxx to work at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe.

After that I wrote a bunch of songs, which were recorded by artists at Capitol, RCA, Columbia, Liberty and other top record labels and also by myself. It was during this time that I wrote scripts for Starsky & Hutch and Switch and other hit TV shows. Among recent scripts that I have written, I have just completed a biographical screenplay of the life of Frankie Laine (which I co-wrote with Frankie) entitled Mr. Rhythm - Frankie Laine. It is causing a lot of excitement both in the US and in Britain.

Yet, nothing I am currently doing, or have ever done, has "grabbed" me like Jesus Saves - Jesus Swings. I believe this is the first all swing big band Christian CD ever produced and God has given me the honor and the joy of doing it.
