When an artist comes from as much of an eclectic background as Tom Rhodes it makes their music hard to define. With one song you think you have him pegged as an alt-country artist, on the next you hear programmed drums and haunting melodies. On this album you can hear Tom's solitary introspection into love and himself, his yearnings to become more than what he is seen as, but still pick up a sense of his contentment with life as it is. Wise beyond his years, there will be more to come of Tom Rhodes and you can hear it on this (his first) CD.
