Album Notes

"Tom Rocco is what cabaret should be...fun, heartfelt, well sung and entertaining! This show was pure joy!"
~Sue Matsuki, cabarethotlineonline.com

This live-recording of MAC-Award winning NYC cabaret artist and musical theater performer, Tom Rocco's, hit cabaret show has something for everyone. This collection of songs (some familiar, some lesser-known) and light-hearted anecdotes follows his unconventional path to wedded bliss. And by the end of the CD you'll likely ask yourself: “Is it really all that unconventional? It sounds just like my (fill in with the adjective/expletive of your choice) marriage.” You'll laugh out loud as Rocco shares stories detailing the not-necessarily fabulous task of growing up gay in late '70s and early '80s Pittsburgh and his quest to find out who he wanted to be in this modern world. Also, why getting married was, ultimately, a big deal to him.

Featuring the fantastic musical talent of Deana Muro on piano, Paul Thompson on bass and R.J. Heid on drums. Also featuring powerhouse Kathy Lash on a rousing duet asserting just what makes a "man."

Rocco’s extensive theater credits include Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby and playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. On Broadway, he appeared in Martin Charnin’s Winchell and played numerous roles, including Uncle Ernie, in The Who’s Tommy. He has sung on the New York City cabaret stages of Joe’s Pub, The Metropolitan Room, Don't Tell Mama, The Mainstage at The Broadway Comedy Club, Ars Nova, The Triad, Upstairs at Red and Mama Rose’s. He has also appeared in shows benefitting The Trevor Project, Human Rights Campaign and Equal Rights Washington.

"Tom Rocco is blissfully brilliant on every level."
