Probably the most rocking and swinging holiday release of the 2007 season this is one fun a cappella Christmas recording. Along with a number of traditional holiday classics the group has written some great original tunes including the infectious 'On This Christmas Night' and the delightful 'Come To Save The World'. Always known for their high-energy concerts and dynamic stage presence this recording also demonstrates their considerable arranging skills as well. 'Happy Holiday', another Irving Berlin Christmas classic, gets a wonderful treatment as does the upbeat 'Ay Ay Ay It's Christmas'. 'Rockin' on Top of the World' will have you dancing around the Christmas tree and the recording closes with a sweet live version of 'Baby King'.

Tonic Sol-Fa presents a fantastic mix of new original tunes with holiday classics on their latest release "On Top of the World". This is a must-have to keep in the CD player at home to get the festivities going, at the office to spread some cheer, or in your car for the long ride to Grandmother's house! And if you can't get enough of this one, be sure to pick up their previous release "Sugarue" and their "Christmas" DVD. You'll love them! Pick up an extra couple for stocking stuffers too!

For those who thought Tonic Sol-Fa's 2002 Christmas CD “SUGARÜE” pushed the envelope, the group's 2007 Christmas CD, “ON TOP OF THE WORLD,” sealed and delivered said envelope! The disc opens and brings the listener back to Christmases past with that classic Irving Berlin sound before launching on a 30-minute sleigh ride filled with tight harmonies and rockin' vocal percussion. It will have listeners boppin' around their Christmas trees! The good ole a cappella does not slow down once on this album, even through ballads LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH and GOODNIGHT – their driving power keeps the listener intent and begging for more. The CD also features two Tonic Sol-Fa originals: ON THIS CHRISTMAS NIGHT and COME TO SAVE THE WORLD – more great work from group members Greg Bannwarth and Shaun Johnson.

Great CD! Even better Live!

On Top of the World is arguably the best holiday album of the three released by Tonic Sol Fa. The two original are amazing ( Come Save the World, and Christmas Night). My personal favorites are Happy Holidays, Peace on Earth, and Goodnight. If you love the album, you have to see their holiday tour or special on TV. Nothing beats seeing Tonic Sol- Fa live!
