Built around the core trio of singer- songwriter Eva Fritz, brother Henry and husband Christian Paul Sargeant, Brisbane-based band The Tonights have exploited not only their family bonds, but also their substantial collective music and production experience to deliver a debut album with a vibrant, panoramic and highly crafted feel.

Recorded at Rockinghorse Studios, Byron Bay and at home, with renowned engineer Anthony Lycenko (Elvis Costello/Pulp/Pete Murray), the record features an eclectic range of material and boasts a classicist, gimmick-free production ethic, courtesy of drummer Christian.

From the fem-powered pop perfection of opening track and first radio single 'TIPTOES,' to the intense, dark, head-music of closer 'RED VELVET GOAT,' The Tonights' first recording takes the listener on a roadtrip through piano-driven ballads, floor-shaking rock and hypnotic melancholia, as horns, harmonicas and lap steel add textures and colour to a menagerie of sounds mined from the pit of rock 'n' roll's past, present and future.
