This is a quiet and unassuming gem from a songwriter gifted with insight and a rare talent for evoking emotion without being maudlin.  Not the world's greatest voice, but he sings with feeling and restraint, which some more famous singers could learn from.  This is one I will come back to, just as I still listen to his "Changes" LP from back in '84.  Nice to have another recording from Tony.

We make it a point to hear Tony in Nashville whenever and wherever he performs.  His songs are among the very best that are being written today and his voice is remarkable..clear, deep, unaffected, and just downright beautiful.  His guitar playing is outstanding and his guitar and his vocal melody are perfectly in complement.  If it sounds like we are devoted fans, then you get the idea.  This is a CD that keeps getting put in our top rotation, month after month.  Just can't get enough of him. His songs have style, depth and character. He is a poet, an artist and a beautiful soul, which all come through when he sings his own songs. He has penned hits for some of our biggest stars, but there is nothing that compares to his singing his songs himself.
