An amazing vocalist - as exciting as Bobby Darin, with the vocal authority of Tony Bennett, and the swinging sensibility of Sinatra.

Album Notes

Encore Records and www.TonyB.org are proud to present an incredible swingin' & high energy performance from Tony B and his Big Band. Recorded LIVE at The Sands Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, this wonderful new CD displays Tony B's ability to captivate a live audience. Accompanied by Richie Iacona and a hot as a pistol 14 piece orchestra, Tony takes us on a journey through the Great American Songbook, and proves why he's one of the great emerging vocalists in the industry today. Featured here are several TB classics like "Swingin Around" & "I Wish I Could Sing Like Sinatra". There's also a Rat Pack segment which includes, "Birth of the Blues", "Ain't That A Kick In The Head", & "My Kind Of Town".
The show closes with a sizzling medley in tribute to Bobby Darin, featuring "Up A Lazy River", Beyond The Sea", "Splish Splash", "Dream Lover", & a heart pounding version of "Mack The Knife". The audience joins in on the classic "South of the Border", and there's even an Italian number(Mala Femmena)in which Tony pays homage to the great singer Jimmy Roselli. If you enjoy LIVE recordings, this one is sure to be a favorite in your collection.

This performance was mixed live and recorded directly onto two tracks. No editing or overdubbing was done, and the end result is an album of terrific one take performances. Equalization (EQ) was added during the mastering process only to enhance the listening experience. Enjoy!

This guy\'s got IT
author: Ronnie Cavaliere
I have been fortunate to come from New York City, and later on Long Island, and have been actively playing all my life. Either in studio, or on the road. My late uncle Bill Miller, was Sinatra\'s Piano for 46 yrs, until Franks\'s passing, and promised Frank, he would \"take care of the kid\" ( by the way that was his exact words to me, when he last was with Frank SR.) If I had known about Tony, and sadly i did not due to a move to south nj,when my uncle was alive, and i turned him on to listening to this great band, and Tony driving it, there would have been no question in his mind, that this \"Kid\" (Sorry Tony) has got it. To Tony,,,You have a very special talent, not like Buble, or Connick, because your phrasing is more to the greats then theirs are. I myself have never heard a better combination of orchestrations, and voice than you have put together on these cd\'s. More than i could say Tony, Uncle Billy would be very proud of your tribute to his life and music...Thank you ! Ronnie
