Album Notes

Ravenswood, Tony Frye's debut album and the first full length release by Microbrew Music, is an eclectic blend of songs each with their own personality and vibe. Tony tries very hard not to repeat himself in the production of a song so there isn't a definitive "sound" to attach to these tracks but one doesn't have to dig deep to know what music was influencing him at the time of composition. The songs on Ravenswood are catchy, uptempo tunes filled with hooks and lots of guitars. There's no message or agenda, just 12 hand crafted songs. For the most part, Tony performs all the instruments except for drums (handled by Ryan Stohs or Todd Richardson) and piano on "I'll Never Know" (featuring Shenelle Williams on keys).

If you're looking for a collection of war protest songs or some type of political allegory, look somewhere else. If you just want to listen to crafted pop tunes, Ravenswood is probably a pretty good fit for you.
