    as I told, I am wordless.. Tony makes these so well and Frank Marocco's accordeon is great. These are songs, my dad used to sing , when he had his band early 60s.

    Tony Galla...what an artist!! I never tire of listening to this CD. His voice is so expressive! I became a Tony Galla fan two years ago when he came to Buffalo to perform at the Italian Hertiage Festival. Anyone who purchases this CD will not be disappointed! He has brought a little bit of Italy into my heart.

    I am just a bit too young to have been in the Cave on Niagara Falls Blvd to hear The Raven play back in the day but that did not stop me. I went anyway and have never forgotten the sound or the feeling. So, out of the blue (august 2007) I did a web search for the name Tony Galla and WOW! he is as good as I could have hoped for after all these years. What an absolutely beautiful voice. It brought me home to Buffalo and to the Italian culture that surrounded me growing up. The names Mallabar, Weitz, Galla, Calandra, Szelest and Konikoff are etched in my mind like commandments in tablets but Tony's voice is so special.... I left the old town 30 yaers ago but I will fly back in a moments notice to hear him sing there. Man!, that city rules when it comes to putting out trememndous musicians and singers. I could name dozens and not even have to stop to think about it. I have to say Tony tops that list. A gift from God, that voice.

    This cd captures the italian song to perfection.What an incredible singer Tony Galla is and boy am i lucky that i found him.If you want something special in todays world then check out Tony Galla...He is outstanding and long may he continue making music...Tony please come to London so many others can see and hear you....A great great singer

    "An Evening in Italy" with Tony Galla is stupendous! The songs like "Mama," "Mambo Italiano," and others are so representative of the music of my youth. It reflects the Italo-American experience. The singer shows a familiarity and connection to the words and meanings. The Music itself is incredible! It generates an aura of festivity and joy!

    What a great,passionate voice this Tony Galla has.The question as to who the next big Italian singer will be has been answered.His renditions of the classics Mama and Al Di La are unreal! There is not a bad track on the whole CD.

    These are the songs that I remember as a youngster growing up in Buffalo. Now my Grandchildren can hear them too!! We all love them!! Tony Gallas voice is fantastic!! Good choice of songs!! Cannot say enough about how great this cd is!!
