Beyond The Veil began life way back in 2001 before I formed the band Flesh-Resonance (www.fleshresonance.com) with Keith Hill.
Nearly half the album had been written when Flesh-Resonance came kicking & screaming into this world but due to limited free time, I never quite managed to finish my debut solo album…that is until now.
After the release of the second Flesh-Resonance album, The Feast Of Shadows, I thought it was the right time to resurrect my solo release. So here it is, after a long delay & a lot of work, this is the final album.
I hope you think it was worth the wait. I personally think it was, but I would say that wouldn’t I.
My original vision for the album was of a dark, brooding piece, something different, music that would evoke emotion. I thought this music could be put to good use in movies, theatre, anything that requires ambience & emotion.
I still think this is the case so if you or anyone you know would benefit from the use of my music in their productions, be it film, theatre, video game, whatever, please get in touch as I’m eager for my music to be heard in other forms of media. Maybe you’re looking for a new piece of music for your project. I’m interested in writing new pieces so let me know.
Although I continue to spend most of my time writing & performing with Flesh-Resonance, the release of Beyond The Veil has inspired me to write a second solo album which I’m sure won’t be quite as delayed as the first one.
So enjoy this album & let me know what you think of it - your opinion of my music is important to me.

Different, twisting, inspiring great dark mood album!

It´s so damn hard to express in words how I really would like to describe this album and give it a proper review without loosing the point. It´s over 50 min. of dark ambient soundscapes and music that is progressing and is growing every time you´re listening to it. It is a different journey and emotional feeling to every individual that is listening. Close your eyes and let the music become the atmospheric soundtrack to your own imaginations and experiences that noone else can possibly have or let it just be a great album to listen at when working with something constructive. To me it becomes an extension to visual ideas while painting for example. I´m really weak for speaking voices or samples that brings you a feeling of total death, decay and DOOOM! Having the title track in mind even though it may be the most "happy" track of them all. Most recommendable album!

This is such an experience to hear - Wonderful and evocative of both the fears and the loves of ages past, present and future. There's something eternal here and I can't put my finger on it.
Tony Longworth has, and we're all the better for the experience.

Mood music in the best meaning of the phrase
author: Neil
This is the stuff to listen to in a darkened room, late at night, alcohol nearby, and just lose yourself. Fantastic, atmospheric music.
