Album Notes

CD "Havana Dreams"

"Havana Dreams" is a romantic and touching array of 14 original piano compositions mostly influenced by Tony's heartfelt memories of the beautiful island of Cuba.
"Yearnings for Cuba" is a classical piece relevant to immigrants everywhere longing for their homeland.

"By the Mediterranean" was inspired by the serene shores of Lloret de Mar, Costa Brava, Spain, where Tony's father was born, and "Romance of the White Towns" reflects the lively flamenco dances of the Andalusian white towns near Seville, Spain.

The last piece on the CD is a Cuban Sonata following the formal structure of a traditional piano sonata: 1) Caribbean Rhythms, 2) Bolero and 3) Latin Fantasy. Tony's "Cuban Sonata" is a classical interpretation of Cuban inspired melodies and rhythms.
