Album Notes

New stuff at, http://www.soundclick.com/tonyvandtheonemanband

I started as a musician at age 11. I played drums and stayed with a rock and roll outfit until I was 25.

Because it was hard to start another rock band, I decided to move to NYC and enroll in audio school. I became a recording engineer.

Now I have worked 22 years as an engineer in NYC, with dozens of artist, I am now using my engineering skills for my personal music projects.

I have worked with Shadow Morton, Leon Russell, Slash, Tommy Price, Steve Gadd, Ruth Brown, Steven Van Zandt, Bill Frisell, Bernard Purdie, Richard Tee, Dr. John, Lou Rawls, Herbie Hancock, Al Green, Tony Williams, Ron Carter. Just to name a few.

I hope you will enjoy my first attempt, Please e-mail your comments. They will be appreciated.

Thanks for listening to this labor of love.

I am currently working on my second CD. It's going very well and should be out this summer.

Peace,

Tony V.

REVIEWS

Great new artist.

I was given a CD from Tony V. for review. Very original music with a blend of various musical ideas. I have to say the quality of the CD is much better than listening to it on the internet.

Original and clever.
author: FRoot magazine
I can't believe this artist produced the whole CD by himself. It's hard enough just to play one instrument, much less engineer, produced and master it. Well worth owning.

Great beats
author: Steve Hasday, producer
When I first heard this CD I was amazed at the beats this artist put together. It is well worth the asking price.

Aptly titled -- Let the smooth as silk rhythms glide you to Shangri-la. This is real good stuff. Reminds me of Paul McCartney's "Working Classical."
