Album Notes

his brilliant new album, 'Jennifer Love Handles' is out now and ready for mass consumption!

write what you know.... that's why toof insists on writing songs about LSD, boobies, and fat little dogs....

armed with only his bass and a drum machine, toof originally began with a very skeletal soundscape. as he progressed, he started to add layers of strings to his music by using samplers and laptops. sometimes serious, although mostly not, his song subject matter is as interesting as his music.

his 2002 debut album, 'busstop style' was greatly received by critics and fans all over the country. his memorable quotes and haunting melodies have stuck in the heads of his fans from brooklyn to san diego.

his touring adventures in 2005 won him even more fans on the east and west coasts, and in mexico and canada. they have been chronicled on his website at nounandverb.com.

Odd, but good

Very odd lyrics, bass and drum machine, samples and synths. The live show is just Trey plus some machinery. He plays bass (really plays, not just a bass line) and sings along with the programmed sounds. I saw him in Austin and was compelled to buy the CD. It is very likable music though odd. The sound quality of the CD is much higher than the live show.
