Relapse is the latest album from Toolshed- Canadian
underground hip-hop legends, who recently relocated to
Toronto from their hometown of London, Ontario.
Relapse has been the group's most acclaimed album, and
serves as a perfect example of what this three man crew is all
about: hard beats inspired by hip-hop's golden age, and hard
rhymes that emphasize creative ows and lyrics.
As always, Timbuktu handles most of the production and,
along with renowned producer Fresh Kils, crafts a cinematic
soundscape of pounding drums and bass-heavy jams.
Emcees Timbuktu, Choke, and Psybo are stronger than ever
before- their upbeat, conscious, and often humorous songs
create an infectious sound which appeals to both their
underground and mainstream audiences.
