Album Notes

The Yvrutyspot album is in no way intended to impress anyone with technical instrument abilities. It is why this album isn't recommended to conventional music fanatics. Sonny wrote; "I've seen so many hyper good drummers and guitarists that I just don't get impressed anymore. I prefer to let my feelings play instead of playing the way I learned. It's more creative and it keeps me away from the pretensions. The main advantage is that a way more open minded audience comes with it."

This artist often use "metaphoric" images to transmit his thoughts. The album cover is the view that a flying bird has of happy fishes behind red-hot bars. According to Sonny, those red-hot bars are what fishes think would evaporate their comfortable humid environment if they try to pass through. While opening the cd tray, we can see under the cd the TOPSY-TURVY version of this image (Viewed from fishes eyes). The shape of the bars give a good idea of the viewer's despise of what's behind. Other images like arrowmind, nakedheart, firewall have a lot to say. Not to forget smurfoff that comes from the smurfed in song and has been cancelled for copyright reasons.(see the June '03 Topsyturvy Paper at www.yvrutyspot.com/smurfoff).
