REVIEWS

Acoustic New Age in its purest form
author: Duskwraith

Two Moons, the debut CD from Torchlight Creek, takes listeners on an eclectic, magical journey through space and time--all without speaking a single word. With outstanding tracks such as January Morrow and Old Man's Tempest bringing to glorious light the trials and stresses of weather, Torchlight Creek establishes itself as a New Age experience for the listener who is tired of bland piano songs with backdrops of chirping birds and ocean surf. Other songs call to mind the beauty and majesty of the natural world around us, such as Land of the Rising Sun, a tribute to Japan's natural scenery. But underneath it all is the undercurrent of human emotion which makes Torchlight Creek so unique. Every song has a deeper meaning relating directly to us as humans. Every song has its own story, its own theme of epic proportions. From the smooth, beautifully lilting melodies of Wax Rain and Afterglow to the dark, powerful rhythms of Antiquity and Symphonia, Two Moons has something for everyone and proves itself a step above most New Age. This is a must-have for fans of instrumental music.

I bought Two Moons long ago, and forgot to review. Even after all this time, it's still one of my favorite CDs. It has some of the most captivating, relaxing melodies I've ever heard. As the website has been down for some time, I really hope we'll see TCreek back with new material soon. You can't help but want to hear more. :) I wish TC all the best.

I never thought I would find a CD that moved my soul so deeply. In a world full of stress, this music allows you to dream away from it all and relax. It offers a wide variety of instrumentation including acoustical guitars, flutes, keyboards. It's the perfect touch while I'm doing my light stretching exercises.
