Album Notes

Peter Tork and James Lee Stanley have been touring together off and on since James Lee produced Peter's solo CD, Stranger Things Have Happened, in 1995. Their subsequent unplugged tour together spawned two very well received CD's, to wit: Two Man Band and Once Again, both released on Beachwood Recordings. Now we have the final release of the trilogy, Live. Recorded in Pasadena, CA, this hour long disc captures all the joy, musicality, comedy and genuine friendship that abounds whenever these two decide to come together again. Surprizingly, even tho it is a live CD, there are only three or four songs out of the hour long show that have been previously recorded. They decided that the fans deserved different stuff and they also included some of James Lee's fabled stories, including the Cookie Monster Fiasco, one of his most requested bits. If you can't see these two live, then this is the next best thing. You're gonna love it.

REVIEWS

The personalities shine between the tracks
author: Amy Tobol
I liked the music. It was good to listen to. Peter's voice just keeps getting more and more mellow and charismatic. What really made it for me, though, was the bits between the songs, where they talk a little, goof around, goof up. It makes it very personal, like an audio autograph. Thank you, Peter and James!

Tork and Stanley put on an enjoyable show
author: Mary Lou
Peter Tork and James Lee Stanley have been performing together off and on for some time now and it is great to finally have one of their shows on CD. Both musician/singers perform very well with excellent songs and their onstage banter is quite amusing. This is a terrific CD that you will listen to often.
