Album Notes

After having played many of the great roles in Musical Theatre, Natalie Toro brings her unique, high-energy Latin vocals on her Salsa tribute album to the timeless songs of Broadway.

This original concept is guaranteed to have both the Latino and Anglo audience dancing and singing along with Natalie as she exudes her vocal talents on this special collection of ever popular songs, including "Recuerdos"(Memory) and "Solo Yo"(On My Own).

Her experience in performing brings an artist of exceptional class to the stages of any concert hall, anywhere in the world. This was evident at a recent show at Carnegie Hall and her performance at Radio Musica in Los Angeles.

Born to Puerto Rican parents, Ms. Toro was raised in the Bronx, New York. Showing and early proclivity for the stage, the five year old Natalie appeared at the famous Apollo Theatre's amateur night with a five piece band. She began formal music lessons at the age of eight, and then studied the arts full time in high school and college, earning her degree in Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Soon after college she was cast as Rosalia in the Japan tour of West Side Story.

Ms. Toro is best known for her three years as Eponine in the Broadway production Les Miserables.

Since then she has played such notable roles as Eva Peron in the 20th Anniversary Tour of Evita (Joseph Jefferson nomination), Grizabella in Cats, Tina in the U.S. premiere of The Fix, Ginger in Zombie Prom, and Serena in Henry Krieger/Bill Russell's Everything's Ducky.

You can now see Natalie perform the role of Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar currently touring the US and Canada. Visit www.natalietoro.com for tour dates.
