On Broadway, Natalie recently created the role of Madame DeFarge in the new musical, A Tale of Two Cities. She recently won the Best Supporting Actress Award by Sarasota Magazine for her portrayal of Madame DeFarge in A Tale of Two Cities at The Asolo Repertory Theater. She made her Broadway debut as Eponine in Les Miserables. From there, she went on to play Grizabella in CATS in the National Tour. She created the role of Sally in Alan Menken’s, A Christmas Carol at the Paramount Theater. Off-Broadway she created the role of Ginger in Zombie Prom and Maria in The Audience.
On Tour, Natalie continues as Eva Peron in the 20th Anniversary Tour of Evita (Jeff Award nomination), Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Rosalia in West Side Story (Japan). She also created Serena in Everything’s Ducky at Cincinnati Rep./ St. Louis Rep., Tina McCoy in The Fix at The Signature Theater produced by Cameron Macintosh, and Renee in Frances of Guernica at The Tennessee Rep by Gammy award winner Marcus Hummon. Other credits include Mrs. Johnstone in Blood Brothers, and The Narrator in Zorba at The North Shore Theater.
Her television credits have been on Law and Order, and Law and Order SVU. She lent her voice for two supporting characters on the animated feature Santa Baby for FOX Television and played Linda in Eleven for RIPEST movie musicals, 2006. Ms. Toro has performed as a solo artist at Carnegie Hall, and at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland. She had the privilege to sing with the Kentucky and Buffalo Symphony Orchestras. She also sings with the Ed Caccavale Big Band Orchestra with Tony Fusco in NYC. She was honored at the Puerto Rican Heritage Month by Bronx Borough President Adolpho Carrion Jr. in November 2008.
