Album Notes

Tortoise and Hair is a husband wife team that performs around the Atlanta area. Our concept is to write songs based on a familiar “folk” forms, enhanced by informed musicianship. Our lyrics explore the persistent vulnerabilities, and humor therein, of the human condition. We hope when you listen, you’ll find something pleasantly familiar, yet prodding and insightful.

Fantastic!

Wife and daughter subjected me to this on our drive to AL a couple of weeks ago, by the time we got there, I was humming the songs myself! Very catchy tunes, great lyrics, and of course, great performances by Dustin and Adrienne. I agree with Kris - a Must Have!

A Must Have Album
author: Kris A. Roberson, B.S., M.M.
\"Tortoise and Hair\" self-titled album I found to be musically and lyrically relational and substantive while offering a sensitive and unique portrait of intimacy and beauty to the compositional flair and integrity of each and every song. The music and lyrics are charmingly bookmatched and flow with twinkling grains of yesteryear woven affectionately into the tapestry of their style. For these reasons the album is refreshing, enjoyable and very easy to listen to - the kind of album you\'d like to have playing in the car stereo while you\'re driving around on a cool day with the windows down and the heater on. The songs will live with you for days - in the night and in the daylight hours as well. Bravo to Dustin and Adrienne Cottrell for a job well done.
