MICHAEL TOTARO
Michael Totaro was born and raised in Chicago and its suburbs. He graduated from DePaul University, with a major in Music Education. During high school and college Michael performed extensively as part of a band, and later, on stage, in a variety of musical theatre comedies. After college he continued to perform professionally and assisted in establishing neighborhood musical theatre production companies.
Married since 1976, Michael and his wife, Maureen, both graduated in 1981 from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco, California. Working through school together, Michael and Maureen each earned a Masters of Law from George Washington University in Washington D.C. in 1982. The couple are law partners in Totaro & Shanahan, a small law firm.
