Album Notes
'A World of Music' is filled to the brim with REAL music. No electronic buzz here! The heart of Toucan Jam's magic is their gift of storytelling. Kelly Mulhollan and Donna Stjerna (pronounced STEER-na) have collected stories from the Ozark Hills where they live, as well as legends from South America, Ethiopia, Australia, the British Isles, the Middle East, Native American cultures and their own lives, and stitched them into songs. Then the duo artfully pieced them all together with banjo, fiddle, ukulele, mandolin, guitar, ruan, charango, oud, didgeridoo, mbira and everything else but the kitchen sink, creating a CD that is more colorful than an African blanket and cozier than Grandma's quilt . The songs are interactive, educational and downright FUN.. The musical diversity of 'A World of Music' makes it great listening for grown-ups as well. Be sure to check out their website-
