Album Notes

A "LOST CLASSIC" RETURNS..." Flawless...5 Stars! ...Guitar Player Magazine.
Lost Grove Records a division of Lost Grove Arts Inc. is proud to announce the re-release of one of the most renown fingerstyle instrumental guitar albums of all time! "TOULLUSIONS" by guitar phenom TOULOUSE ENGELHARDT! He was one of the last members of the so-called "Takoma Seven" an elite club of guitar innovators who brought about the current renaissance in acoustic guitar music. Today "Toullusions" is still regarded by music critics as one of the "Top 10". This inventive recording was way ahead of it's time. First released through John Fahey's label Takoma Records back in 1976 it is now available again on the 30th anniversary of it's original release. Remastered by sonic guru Bob Katz at Digital Domain this five star album sounds as fresh today as it did 30 years ago!

Once again look at what the critics are saying...

"Toulouse Engelhardt plays the guitar with such dexterity that it sounds like the man has 15 fingers! He is a showcase of technical brilliance and a master in both composition and performance!"...R. Foss; All Music Guide...
"Fahey to Kottke and now Toulouse Engelhardt...1000 times more melody and sophistication"...Rounder Records Roundup... .
"One of my all-time favorite guitar players!"...David Lindley.
"Flawless...5 Stars!"...Guitar Player Magazine

i grew up in Takoma Park, Md. i heard a great insramental on WHFS with Surf, Wheasal and Damion(still rocking i might add) this was mid 70's. called the radio station and they gave me the album name. tower rescords special ordered it for me.1980 came and the wife asked me to leave. i 've tried to get that record back but to no avail. it sure as hell brings back memories. thanks for some terriffic picking!
