Another epic record by Devin Townsend, counting in at a whopping 74 minutes this musical seascape is so deep and powerful it will leave you emotionally drained by the end.
"It is really pleasant to lose myself in the swirl of the symphonic sounds which are woven into the music so thickly they could suffocate you... The powerful vocals, which can't be distorted ... This is profound music" - Burrn magazine, Japan
"Epic, grandiose and highly emotive, 'Biomech' is a work of extreme artistic and musical merit. 10/10" - Metal Hammer, UK
"Biomech is a journey into the mind of a genius and musical alchemist .... this [is a] truly wonderful album to let yourself escape the pain of life. 5/5" - Nocturnal Journal, UK

Other than when he was Steve Vai's vocalist, this was the album that introduced me to Devy, and I have been a diehard fan since then. This is my favourite Devin disc, partly because it is amazing, and partly because it always takes me back to the joy I felt when my friend first played it for me! The entire disc is flawless IMHO, but the first three songs are probably my favourites.

After TERRIA, this is my favorite work of Devin's. Runs the full gamut from atmospheric to all-out head banging, and don't let that latter description make you think it's anything less than brilliant. I'm always hesitant to throw around the "G"-word, but DT has a musical vision and voice like no one else, and it's people like him hoo keep progressive metal alive and kicking.
