The recording of "Average Songs" begun in late 2010 when we started the drums recording sessions, and it took over an year to record, produce, mix and master everything. Many session artists has been involved in the project, as the various musicians in the LP, the paintress Lia Mancuso who designed the artwork in jan 2011, photographers, look managers, the directors of the videoclip for the single "Great!", graphics and web designers and many others. We thank them all. Everything was self produced in Rome, Italy, so Toygrace had to face the usual problems with budgets, organization and logistics, but we are proud of the final work, proud of an italian (strictly "roman") good job that wishes to bring some of our "homeland" feelings and landscapes also outside our boundaries, and to step across some stereotype about our country. At the same time our music is not properly "italian standard", we also feel definitely european, and in "Average Songs" you can actually guess the influence of many genres and artists coming from every part of the world. Though, Toygrace try not to forget who they are, where they come from, their age and their real life experience. We put it all in our work. So we hope You all enjoy this little bit of euro/mediterranean/italian rock taste. It all has been made just to be shared with You... without this urgency, we'd rather have gone catching tan on the beach, instead of working so hard!
