A Melancholy Tribute To Final Fantasy VII is a lugubrious yet loving homage to the FFVII soundtrack and its masterful composer, Nobuo Uematsu.

The moody piano-and-pad-driven covers on this album are designed to remind listeners of some of the main themes of Final Fantasy VII: sacrifice, grief, and oppression, although love is present throughout.

Also featured are two original pieces, inspired by Uematsu's work on the Final Fantasy series.
