Album Notes

Rob Williams, Winnipeg Sun - "Teen angst baby, teen angst".

"They sound really great" says Mary Palmer of High Plains Public
Radio Network. "I will personally keep an eye on them "

Ryan Settee at Backstagewinnipeg.com writes,
"it really IS about the kids. And they loved the band, but it wasn't hard to see why--lots of catchy pop-punk choruses, good energy, and an underlying spirit of connecting with each and every one of the fans there, most of whom were up front and standing and cheering enthusiastically"

20 Pound Shovel was formed in the garage of a family home in St. Anne Manitoba, Canada. Jay (15) and Matt (14) Voth are brothers, and Luc Clement (14) is "the boy next door". Jay and Luc both had about 5 years of guitar behind them. 2 years ago Jay switched to drums and little brother Matt learned to play bass and 20 Pound Shovel was born.

This CD is not as good as 20PS's previous work when they started. Although the songs are all the same as the original. The original captures their energy far better than this album. Still a good effort.

I've heard better, sorry guys. Its not bad. I mean, as a producer, I think this album does have its weak spots. I mean the songs are good, but they should sound better than this. Good luck on the next album guys, hope it sounds better than this one.
