TrackAddicts' ROCK STAR FUNK in AMERICA is one of the most innovative hip hop albums in the last 15 years. From the opening hype of "The Big Fish", and "If I would Be", to the Funk inspired chants on "Get on Down", and "Love's Like Drugs", to the inspired, almost rural feel on the closing "Unwind", this album is a must have for any fan of powerful hip hop, and unrelenting funk grooves. A gracious R&B vibe is ever present on songs like "Hear me out", "Dutchy", "So near yet So Far", and "Sad Sad Songs", which focus on strong, melodic hooks, that capture the listener immediately.
The extremely talented efforts of Ten, Zwazi, Caprice, Shy, and all the rest of the amazing musicians and vocalists made this album what it is. Special mention should be made to special cameos from Jimi Hazel and Belita Woods on this monolith of an album.
If you are a fan of REAL hip hop, or a deep Funk fan with an itch that needs desperately to be scratched, then look no further than TrackAddicts' new ROCK STAR FUNK in AMERICA.
